Al-Mujib (الْمُجِيْبُ) means The Responsive. It is name 44 in the well-known list of the 99 Names of Allah. Al-Mujīb answers those who call on Him. He may give what was asked, keep away a harm, or save the reward for the Hereafter, but no sincere dua is wasted.
The root and its meaning
Al-Mujib comes from the Arabic root ج و ب (j-w-b), which carries the sense of answering.
Where it is in the Quran
Salih told his people: "My Lord is near and responsive." Allah also says He answers the call of the caller.
Surah Hud 11:61
Wa ilaa Samooda akhaahum Saalihaa; qaala yaa qawmi' budul laaha maa lakum min ilaahim ghairuhoo Huwa ansha akum minal ardi wasta' marakum feehaa fastaghfiroohu summa toobooo ilaih; inna Rabbee Qareebum Mujeeb
And to Thamud [We sent] their brother Salih. He said, "O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him. He has produced you from the earth and settled you in it, so ask forgiveness of Him and then repent to Him. Indeed, my Lord is near and responsive."

Surah Al-Baqara 2:186
Wa izaa sa alaka 'ibaadee 'annnee fa innee qareebun ujeebu da'wataddaa'i izaa da'aani falyastajeeboo lee walyu minoo beela 'allahum yarshudoon
And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me - indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided.

Calling on Allah by this Name
Allah says: "And to Allah belong the best names, so invoke Him by them" (7:180). Begin your dua with يَا مُجِيْبُ (Yā Mujīb) and ask for what fits its meaning. For example: "Yā Mujīb, I am calling on You, so answer me."
