Rayyan (رَيَّان) is an Arabic name for boys. It means well-watered; the gate of Paradise for those who fast. The Prophet ﷺ said there is a gate in Paradise called ar-Rayyan, and only those who fasted enter by it (Sahih al-Bukhari 1896).
