When you put on a garment, say Alhamdulillahil-ladhi kasani hadhath-thawba wa razaqanihi min ghayri hawlin minni wa la quwwah. The Prophet ﷺ said that whoever says it has his past sins forgiven.1 For new clothes there is a separate dua, below.
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي كَسَانِي هَذَا الثَّوْبَ، وَرَزَقَنِيهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْلٍ مِنِّي وَلَا قُوَّةٍ
Al-ḥamdu lillāhil-ladhī kasānī hādhath-thawba wa razaqanīhi min ghayri ḥawlin minnī wa lā quwwah
All praise is for Allah, who clothed me with this garment and provided it for me, without any power or strength from me.

اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ كَسَوْتَنِيهِ، أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِهِ وَخَيْرِ مَا صُنِعَ لَهُ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهِ وَشَرِّ مَا صُنِعَ لَهُ
Allāhumma lakal-ḥamdu anta kasawtanīh, asʾaluka min khayrihī wa khayri mā ṣuniʿa lah, wa aʿūdhu bika min sharrihī wa sharri mā ṣuniʿa lah
O Allah, all praise is Yours. You clothed me with it. I ask You for its good and the good it was made for, and I seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil it was made for.

الْبَسْ جَدِيدًا، وَعِشْ حَمِيدًا، وَمُتْ شَهِيدًا
Ilbas jadīdā, wa ʿish ḥamīdā, wa mut shahīdā
Wear new, live praised and die a martyr. (Said by the Prophet ﷺ to Umar when he saw him in a new garment.)

Abu Said al-Khudri said that when the Prophet ﷺ put on a new garment, he would name it, a shirt or a turban, and then say Dua 2.3 So you might say "this jacket" or "these shoes" in your heart, then the dua. It works for anything new you wear, from a coat to a pair of socks.
Allah reminds us that He sent down clothing to cover us and to adorn us, and that the clothing of righteousness is best.4 Saying these duas turns getting dressed, something we do several times a day, into a moment of thanks.
