Guide

How to make dua, and when it is answered.

Allah says: "Call upon Me; I will respond to you."1 Dua is worship in itself, and can be made in any language, at any time.

The manners of dua

  • Begin by praising Allah and sending salawat on the Prophet ﷺ.
  • Raise your hands, face the qibla if you can, and ask with certainty.
  • Use Allah's names that suit your request, such as Ar-Razzaq for provision.
  • Do not rush or say "I prayed and was not answered".2

  • Between the adhan and the iqamah.
  • In sujud.
