Every soul will taste death, and you will only be given your [full] compensation on the Day of Resurrection. So he who is drawn away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has attained [his desire]. And what is the life of this world except the enjoyment of delusion.
Every soul will taste death, and full reward comes on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever is saved from the Fire has succeeded.
Kullu nafsin zaaa'iqatul mawt; wa nablookum bishsharri walkhairi fitnatanw wa ilainaa turja'oon
Every soul will taste death. And We test you with evil and with good as trial; and to Us you will be returned.
Every soul will taste death, and We test you with bad and good as a trial.
Kullu nafsin zaaa'iqatul mawti summa ilainaa turja'oon
Every soul will taste death. Then to Us will you be returned.
Every soul will taste death, then to Us you will be returned. Said to believers facing persecution in Makkah.

Say, "Indeed, the death from which you flee - indeed, it will meet you. Then you will be returned to the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, and He will inform you about what you used to do."
The death you run from will meet you, and then you return to the Knower of the unseen.

Wherever you may be, death will overtake you, even if you should be within towers of lofty construction. But if good comes to them, they say, "This is from Allah "; and if evil befalls them, they say, "This is from you." Say, "All [things] are from Allah." So what is [the matter] with those people that they can hardly understand any statement?
Wherever you are, death will find you, even in high towers.
Wajaat sakratu almawti bialhaqqi thalika ma kunta minhu taheedu
And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid.
The stupor of death comes with the truth: this is what you were trying to avoid.

And spend [in the way of Allah] from what We have provided you before death approaches one of you and he says, "My Lord, if only You would delay me for a brief term so I would give charity and be among the righteous."
Spend before death comes, when a person will ask: my Lord, if only You delayed me a little so I could give charity.

Indeed, Allah [alone] has knowledge of the Hour and sends down the rain and knows what is in the wombs. And no soul perceives what it will earn tomorrow, and no soul perceives in what land it will die. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.
No soul knows in which land it will die. Knowledge of the Hour is with Allah alone.

Allah takes the souls at the time of their death, and those that do not die [He takes] during their sleep. Then He keeps those for which He has decreed death and releases the others for a specified term. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.
Allah takes the souls at death, and the souls of the living in their sleep, and sends back those whose time has not come.

Who, when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return."
What the believer says at any loss, including death: we belong to Allah and to Him we return.
