Rabbanā lā tuzigh qulūbanā baʿda idh hadaytanā wa hab lanā mil-ladunka raḥmah, innaka antal-wahhāb
Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us and grant us from Yourself mercy. Indeed, You are the Bestower.
Quran 3:8, translation by Sahih International
رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةًۭ وَفِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ حَسَنَةًۭ وَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ
Rabbanā ātinā fid-dunyā ḥasanatan wa fil-ākhirati ḥasanatan wa qinā ʿadhāban-nār
Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
Quran 2:201, translation by Sahih International
Allāhummar-ḥamnī bil-Qurʾān, wajʿalhu lī imāmaw-wa nūraw-wa hudaw-wa raḥmah. Allāhumma dhakkirnī minhu mā nasītu, wa ʿallimnī minhu mā jahiltu, warzuqnī tilāwatahū ānāʾal-layli wa aṭrāfan-nahār, wajʿalhu lī ḥujjatay-yā rabbal-ʿālamīn
O Allah, have mercy on me through the Quran, and make it for me a guide, a light, guidance and mercy. O Allah, remind me of what I have forgotten of it, teach me what I do not know of it, grant me its recitation through the hours of the night and the ends of the day, and make it a proof for me, O Lord of the worlds.
No authentic chain to the Prophet ﷺ. Hadith scholars such as al-Iraqi found it only with a broken chain

Guide
There is no fixed dua that the Prophet ﷺ taught for finishing the Quran. The popular khatm dua printed at the back of many mushafs, Allahummarhamni bil-Quran, has no authentic chain to him. What is reported soundly is the practice of the Companions: Anas ibn Malik gathered his family when he finished the Quran and made dua for them. So make dua in your own words, and use the sourced duas below.
Anas ibn Malik, the Prophet's ﷺ servant, would gather his family and children when he finished the Quran and make dua for them.1 Mujahid and other early Muslims gathered for the completion of the Quran and said that mercy descends at that time.2 This is why scholars of all four schools recommend making dua at a khatm, and why families and mosques gather for it, especially in Ramadan.
A hadith in al-Tabarani says that whoever completes the Quran has an answered dua, but its chain is weak. A related hadith in at-Tirmidhi says: "Whoever recites the Quran, let him ask Allah by it." At-Tirmidhi graded it hasan and added that its chain is not strong.3 So hope for acceptance, without claiming a guarantee from the hadith.
Dua 4, Allahummarhamni bil-Quran, is printed at the end of many mushafs and often said to be from the Prophet ﷺ. Hadith scholars, al-Iraqi among them, found it only with a broken chain (mu'dal), so it cannot be attributed to him.4 Its meaning is good, so you may use it as your own dua, as long as you do not call it a sunnah wording. A longer "Dua Khatm al-Quran" is often printed under the name of Ibn Taymiyyah. That attribution has not been shown either. Many other khatm wordings online have no source at all.

It has no authentic chain to the Prophet ﷺ. Hadith scholars such as al-Iraqi found it only with a broken chain. Its meaning is good, so you may use it as a personal dua.
The Companions and early Muslims made dua at a khatm and said mercy descends then. A hadith promising an answered dua is in al-Tabarani, but its chain is weak.
It is a good practice. Anas ibn Malik gathered his family and children when he finished the Quran and made dua for them.
