The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.
One seed, seven ears, a hundred grains in each: what is given for Allah can grow seven hundred times, and Allah multiplies it further for whom He wills.

Those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah and then do not follow up what they have spent with reminders [of it] or [other] injury will have their reward with their Lord, and there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.
Give without following it with reminders or hurt, and the reward is kept with your Lord. No fear and no grief for them.

O you who have believed, do not invalidate your charities with reminders or injury as does one who spends his wealth [only] to be seen by the people and does not believe in Allah and the Last Day. His example is like that of a [large] smooth stone upon which is dust and is hit by a downpour that leaves it bare. They are unable [to keep] anything of what they have earned. And Allah does not guide the disbelieving people.
Reminders and hurt cancel charity, like soil washed off a smooth rock by heavy rain. Giving to be seen does the same.

O you who have believed, spend from the good things which you have earned and from that which We have produced for you from the earth. And do not aim toward the defective therefrom, spending [from that] while you would not take it [yourself] except with closed eyes. And know that Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy.
Give from the good things you have earned, not the poor things you would only take yourself with your eyes closed.

If you disclose your charitable expenditures, they are good; but if you conceal them and give them to the poor, it is better for you, and He will remove from you some of your misdeeds [thereby]. And Allah, with what you do, is [fully] Acquainted.
Giving openly is good; giving in secret to the poor is better, and it wipes away some of your sins.

[Charity is] for the poor who have been restricted for the cause of Allah, unable to move about in the land. An ignorant [person] would think them self-sufficient because of their restraint, but you will know them by their [characteristic] sign. They do not ask people persistently [or at all]. And whatever you spend of good - indeed, Allah is Knowing of it.
Look for the poor who are too dignified to ask. People think they are well off because of their restraint.
Allazeena yunfiqoona amwaalahum billaili wan nahaari sirranw wa 'alaaniyatan falahum ajruhum 'inda Rabbihim wa laa khawfun 'alaihim wa laa hum yahzanoon
Those who spend their wealth [in Allah 's way] by night and by day, secretly and publicly - they will have their reward with their Lord. And no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.
Those who give by night and by day, in secret and in public: their reward is with their Lord.
Yamhaqul laahur ribaa wa yurbis sadaqaat; wallaahu laa yuhibbu kulla kaffaarin aseem
Allah destroys interest and gives increase for charities. And Allah does not like every sinning disbeliever.
Allah wipes out riba and makes charity grow.

Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but [true] righteousness is [in] one who believes in Allah, the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets and gives wealth, in spite of love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask [for help], and for freeing slaves; [and who] establishes prayer and gives zakah; [those who] fulfill their promise when they promise; and [those who] are patient in poverty and hardship and during battle. Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are the righteous.
True righteousness is faith, and giving wealth you love to relatives, orphans, the poor, travellers and those who ask.

Never will you attain the good [reward] until you spend [in the way of Allah] from that which you love. And whatever you spend - indeed, Allah is Knowing of it.
You will not reach true goodness until you give from what you love. Abu Talhah gave his best orchard, Bayruha, when he heard it (Sahih al-Bukhari).
Man zal lazee yuqridul laaha qardan hasanan fayudaa 'ifahoo lahoo ad'aafan kaseerah; wallaahu yaqbidu wa yabsut-u wa ilaihi turja'oon
Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over? And it is Allah who withholds and grants abundance, and to Him you will be returned.
Who will lend Allah a goodly loan? He will multiply it many times over.

Innal mussaddiqeena wal mussaddiqaati wa aqradul laaha qardan hassanany yudaa'afu lahum wa lahum ajrun kareem
Indeed, the men who practice charity and the women who practice charity and [they who] have loaned Allah a goodly loan - it will be multiplied for them, and they will have a noble reward.
Men and women who give charity and lend Allah a goodly loan: it is multiplied for them, with a noble reward.

8 And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive, 9 [Saying], "We feed you only for the countenance of Allah. We wish not from you reward or gratitude.
They feed the poor, the orphan and the captive despite loving the food themselves, wanting nothing back, not even thanks.

Zakah expenditures are only for the poor and for the needy and for those employed to collect [zakah] and for bringing hearts together [for Islam] and for freeing captives [or slaves] and for those in debt and for the cause of Allah and for the [stranded] traveler - an obligation [imposed] by Allah. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.
The eight kinds of people zakat may go to. For who qualifies today, see who can receive zakat.

Take, [O, Muhammad], from their wealth a charity by which you purify them and cause them increase, and invoke [Allah 's blessings] upon them. Indeed, your invocations are reassurance for them. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.
Charity purifies the giver and makes their wealth grow, and the Prophet ﷺ was told to pray for those who gave.
